Aryna Sabalenka

Her birthplace her birthplace is Minsk located in Belarus. The father of her Sergey (d. 2019) was an athlete in ice hockey. Aryna Sabalenka was birthed in Minsk 5 May 1998. She has 12 WTA titles to her name in her career. This includes her Grand Slam of 2023 Australian Open. The doubles play she plays is superb, and she won Majors in her first major tournaments, the US Open (2019) and Australian Open (2021), both in partnership with Elisemertens. In 2019, she won each of the WTA 1000 and Miami Open in Indian Wells with her Belgian teammate, and completed her Sunshine Double. This feat was only achieved by four couples in singles for women. World singles rankings rose up to the top spot in January 2023. She climbed into the top spot of the rankings for doubles the next year after winning at Melbourne. It made her the only Belarusian tennis player to be successful in tennis. Dmitry Tursunov, a former Russian tennis star, coached her during her 2018 season to the end and part of the 2020 season. The pair also briefly worked with Dieter Kindlmann in August until September 2020. Antonio Dubrov, her fellow countryman, has been coaching her for the past few years, starting in 2020. Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova are her greatest idols.
